Understanding Doxlair roles and permissions
A breakdown of the four roles in Doxlair — Global Admin, Admin, Project Manager, and Member — and what each can do.
Global Admin
Full access to everything: all projects, billing and plan management, user invitations and role changes, and every write action in the app.
Admin
Full access to projects, change order approval, finances, schedules, and team management, but cannot manage billing or plan-level settings the way a Global Admin can.
Project Manager
Can add projects, create and send change orders, manage schedules, and log field documentation — but only for projects they're assigned to. Cannot manage billing or invite users.
Member
Read-only access for assigned projects. Can view dashboards, schedules, change orders, and reports, but cannot create or edit most records.
Where roles are enforced
Role checks apply across schedule, change order, project, daily log, photo, field note, milestone, and team member actions — so a restriction you see in one area is consistent everywhere in the app.
